A spooky update!
Spring sprung, summer scorched, and fall is now upon us. The working group continues to meet regulary, and a little while back, a number of volunteers came out and (finally!!) finished staining the jack leg fence that establishes a vehicle barrier for the park.
There are more grant applications out to fund park improvements, the county along with volunteers have been maintaining the grass. We greatly appreciate all of the park users helping keep our park clean by picking up their own garbage, and others!
I was hoping to get some pictures of the finished staining project that a number of volunteers completed a few weeks ago but have not found the time!
We had all hoped to be able to complete a construction project this season, but, as is sometimes the case with grant based work, we weren’t able to raise enough funds to make progress on those goals. Park projects take time and effort, and even when there isn’t visible progress, things are happening!
