Successful Grand Opening!
A HUGE THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO CAME OUT!
What a great day! The park was extremely busy all day with people skateboarding, scootering (is that how you say it?!), and enjoying the beautiful day!
On June 1st 2024, we had our Skate Park Grand Opening event. Local supporting organizations came out including Clinton Rural Fire, all four members of the Clinton Community Council, James Thomasson from the Clinton School Board of Trustees, Missoula County Commissioner Josh Slotnick, Girls On Shred, Blackfoot Communications, and more!
Also present were representatives from Montana Skatepark Association (MSA) and Montana Pool Service (MPS).
Thank you Andy, Jeff, and everyone else, from these two wonderful organizations that made this park a reality.
The parking area we set aside off Stitt even filled up! We had people from Canada and California, from eastern Montana and Idaho, Washington and Oregon, and more!
Clinton Rural Fire was able to hand out roughly 30 sets of safety gear including helmets, knee pads, and elbow pads thanks to a grant from the Montana DPHHS with purchasing and logistics help from Board of Missoula. Jeff Ament was also kind enough to pose for photos with people throughout the day. Sonny’s Original Cheesesteaks were on hand keeping people’s bellies happy!
