Sump Installed
CSS Contracting (Chris) was out this past weekend and installed the drainage sump. On his own dime he had the donated sump transported it to the site and installed it. It doesn’t look like much now that it’s in, but, that is also the point!
This sump, donated by Montana Precast Concrete, will collect runoff from the hard surfaces of the skate park, providing a place for the water to go rather than sitting in and on the concrete features causing damage.
I haven’t spoken with CSS or Evergreen, but this is likely where the drainage will tie in. This marker tells the crew from Evergreen where to look, and how deep to look. It also acts as a warning during earthmoving that if you’re digging around here, you better be careful or you’ll damage work that’s already been done.
Another angle on the lid for the sump.
Unfortunately I didn’t know when it was going in, and being out of the loop, didn’t catch them putting the sump into the ground!
